Scottsdale Learning Center provides more than just child care – it’s a home away from home, providing peace of mind that your children are in a safe environment.
This location provides infants through age 9 with a faith-based curriculum focusing on weekly shapes, colors, character traits, and enrichment classes, including sports and gymnastics.
Faith-Based Approach to Early Education
Passionate Christian teachers often share their faith through prayer, Bible story and song reading, and subject classes like science, math, art, and reading – these teachers strive to ensure every child in their care receives an optimal education experience.
Christian school students tend to outperform their peers academically due to the teaching methods and curriculum implemented and learning love for one another. Religious classrooms encourage individuality without judgment from classmates, making students more confident learners who raise their hands more frequently to ask questions or offer answers during class discussions.
Teachers participating in focus groups shared stories of preschoolers pointing out God’s creations during nature walks, kindergarteners praying for classmates attending grandparent funerals, and elementary school students creating artwork depicting Heaven. Furthermore, they discussed how vital spirituality should be integrated into every aspect of the education curriculum.
PVCP’s Early Education Center was specifically created to meet the needs of Christian parents and their young children. Our center offers an exceptional learning experience through creativity, hands-on activities, and structured instruction – creating a unique learning experience for your little one!
Outdoor Recreation
the City of Scottsdale provides numerous opportunities to connect with nature, whether taking a stroll, hike, bike ride, or horseback trail ride. You’ll find an award-winning park system, golf courses, tennis courts, camping areas, skate parks, and miles of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails through the Sonoran Desert landscape. Plus, there are always exciting cultural happenings, professional and collegiate sports teams competing live nearby, and memorable day trips!
Experience the splendor of nature on a guided hike or at one of Arizona’s nearby beaches. In-town attractions include Chandler Nature Center, which features educational programs about green living. Also of note is the City’s Education Garden, which promotes social interactions among residents while producing healthy foods for community use. McDowell Sonoma Preserve provides wildlife viewing and picnicking.
Arts & Crafts
Painting, drawing, and other art activities allow children to express themselves creatively. Learning centers that feature such activities should contain a wide array of materials – brushes, crayons, and markers should all be present, and more giant paintbrushes should be suitable for younger children. Chalk is also essential; kids love using sidewalk chalk to draw masterpieces!
Craft a special holiday present using air-dry clay or decorate a bookmark using dot markers and shoelaces – these arts & crafts activities can be found at the Shop & Be Merry Holiday Market on Small Business Saturday and select Sundays in November and December.
Enrichment Classes
Scottsdale Learning Center provides many supplementary classes and activities for children looking for an enriching education, including Animal Ed-Ventures homeschool programs where students learn about creatures usually only seen at zoos while making crafts with them and having hands-on interactions with them. All classes meet Arizona state standards to encourage compassion, empathy, and science among animals and humans alike.
Scottsdale provides more than academic services; students also have opportunities for leadership and engagement via internships, student organizations, service learning projects, sports, arts, and more. Through its variety of programs allowing children to explore their interests and passions freely, Scottsdale gives students a solid foundation to build into tomorrow’s leaders.
The school offers several classes for parents to learn alongside their children, such as Silly to Still SEL (social-emotional learning) and Musical Meditation, designed to teach children how to cope with big feelings through breathing techniques, yoga poses, and music.
Our school provides various academic programs for children of all ages – such as Kumon – which has helped children worldwide achieve success for over 60 years. It aims to foster independence and build self-motivated learners while instilling confidence and creating a passion for learning.
